Fair Standards Alliance

The Fair Standards Alliance is a nonprofit organisation formed toward the end of 2015 to strengthen the voice, globally but primarily in Europe, of companies which believe that the licensing of standard -essential patents (SEPs), required in so many modern products today, must be done on a fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory basis (FRAND). Further details on the key principles defended by the Alliance can be found here. The Fair Standards Alliance membership is broad and diverse, ranging from multinationals to SMEs from different levels of the value chain across a diversity of industry sectors. Our alliance members are innovators and implementers. In addition to large patent holders, the Alliance’s membership includes prominent product companies and consumer brands, as well as implementers, who may license SEPs from others to then develop, market and sell standardized goods. A list of our members can be found here.
