We are looking for a PI Hardware Integration Engineer. The position is based in Paris as part of the Platform Integration Baseband team in charge of validating the low level physical layer software of the 4G & 5G Sequans solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Elaborate validation strategies of ASIC baseband hardware blocks in close collaboration with all teams involved: ASIC, HW Design, Algorithm, Layer 1, Software, third-party providers etc…
- Develop and maintain drivers and test applications
- Solve identified issues with development teams (bugs or architecture modifications).
- Give outstanding support to all R&D teams
- Implement bare-metal code for boot and hardware test
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- Strong experience with embedded systems (good knowledge of hardware and embedded software development)
- Experience in porting/integrating RTOS to architecture and driver development. (e.g. Zephir, eCOS…)
- Good knowledge on various architectures (andes, risc, mipps, arm, other)
- Expert on embedded bare-metal C/C++/ASM development
- Good experience of Platform prototyping and debug (FPGA, Palladium, JTAG)
- Experience in low/high speed interfaces (UART, I2S, SPI, USB, ETH …)
- Development in Linux environment
- Experience in software implementation for low power mode is a plus
- Some knowledge of PHY layer of a Telecom Standard like 5G or LTE is a plus
