Quality & Security

At Sequans, quality and security are engineered into every chip we design.

Quality

At Sequans, quality isn’t a checkbox — it’s engineered into every chip and module we design. As a fabless semiconductor company delivering cellular IoT and Software Defined Radio solutions to customers worldwide, we understand that our products become the foundation of mission-critical systems that need to work reliably for years in the field.

Certified, audited, accountable
Sequans is ISO 9001:2015 certified, with our quality management system independently audited and certified by LRQA — one of the world’s leading quality assurance organizations. This certification confirms that our processes, from design through delivery, meet rigorous international standards for consistency, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Quality across the entire chain
Our commitment doesn’t stop at our own walls. We’ve built a total quality system that runs through every Sequans department and function, and we hold our suppliers to the same standard. This end-to-end approach means every component in every Sequans product, wherever it’s manufactured, meets the same high bar for quality and reliability.

What this means for our customers

  • Consistency at scale. Whether you’re deploying a handful of devices or millions of units, every unit meets the same specification.
  • Reliability in the field. Our products are designed and validated to perform in demanding, long-lifecycle IoT deployments.
  • Continuous improvement. Our quality system is built to evolve — we regularly audit, measure, and refine our processes rather than treat certification as a one-time milestone.

Quality is a promise we make to every OEM, carrier, and partner who builds on Sequans silicon. It’s why our chips are certified and deployed on networks around the world.

Security

Security is at the core of every Sequans technology, from the first line of the architecture. Our chips are deployed in sectors — energy, utilities, healthcare, industrial automation — where data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and long-term field reliability aren’t optional. For OEMs and carriers building on Sequans silicon, security isn’t a feature they have to ask for. It’s the foundation we build to.

Secure Development Practices
Security requirements are considered from the earliest architectural decisions, not added retroactively. Sequans employees receive regular training to identify security risks and practice cybersecure behaviors, both inside and outside the workplace. A robust suite of cybersecurity tools supports early threat blocking, risk reduction, and incident detection.

Independent Evaluation
Sequans works with independent labs and government cybersecurity agencies to validate security claims.

Cyber Resilience Act
The EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) establishes mandatory cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements placed on the EU market, covering both hardware and software — including components, like semiconductor chips and modules. The regulation sets expectations across the entire product lifecycle: secure design and development, ongoing vulnerability handling, security updates, and transparency with users for as long as the product remains in use. Key obligations are being phased in on a strict timeline — vulnerability and incident reporting requirements take effect September 11, 2026, with full compliance required by December 11, 2027.

As a supplier of cellular IoT chips and modules that OEMs and carriers build into their own connected products, Sequans recognizes that its customers’ CRA obligations depend directly on the security foundation we provide at the component level.

Responsible Disclosure Policy

Sequans Responsible Disclosure Policy aims to facilitate the identification of vulnerabilities or security issues affecting Sequans’ products and to ensure they are addressed promptly and effectively.
