A Layered Security Model for Resilient IoT Connectivity

Jamming Detection and Response: From Module to Product

Module-Level Jamming Detection

Modules detect jamming by monitoring key RF indicators while attached to the network, including RSRP, RSRQ, RSSI and CINR. A jamming condition is suspected when multiple degraded RF conditions occur simultaneously. Detection relies on consistent observation over multiple measurement intervals to minimize false positives.

When suspected jamming is confirmed, the module issues a notification to the host.

Role of the module: Detect and report potential jamming events with reliable RF-level indicators.

Why Both Layers Matter

• Secure messaging fails without reliable connectivity.
• RF detection alone is insufficient without intelligent response.
